Thje Columbus Chapel is is a beautiful Spanish chapel with items that belonged to Christopher Columbus himself imported to Boalsburg in 1909 by Columbus descendants in the Boal family. The 1789 Boal Mansion has the original furnishings of nine generations of this leading Pennsylvania family. BBC-TV filmed the site and broadcast its story throughout the United Kingdom, calling the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum
An easy and scenic drive from Harrisburg straight up Route 322 West, getting onto business Route 322 when you are about four miles east of State College. The Boal Mansion is directly across Boal Avenue from the adjacent Pennsylvania Military Museum.
